Camping in the great outdoors can be a very tiring time, so having a good nights sleep can mean the difference between having a great holiday or one you would rather forget. Making sure you have the right sleeping bag is essential so let us at Aussie Survivor give you a few tips on choosing the best sleeping bag for you. The first thing you need to think about is who will be using the sleeping bag. Will you be needing a child size or adult sleeping bag? Sounds simple but buying the wrong size is a common problem so please check your measurements as sleeping in a bag that is too small is very uncomfortable. What type of use will it be for, and what time of year will you be using this sleeping bag. When hiking you will be looking for a light weight bag with maximum warmth but if you have the luxury of a trailer or car weight does not become an issue. Something often over looked is what are you sleeping on? The sleeping bag will provide a very small amount of cushioning that might be ok for a small child but a large adult will soon be longing for a nice warm bed. At Aussie Survivor we have solutions in the form of Air Beds, folding camp beds or stretchers that can be used to bring a little creature comfort to the bush. IF we are ever low on stock please try one of our preferred dealers like “Wild Earth” follow the link at the bottom of the page.
